Larch Viewing at Canada’s Highest Pass

Join one of our certified guides to hike in the awe-inspiring Highwood Pass. Highwood Pass lies west of Mount Rae and Mount Arethusa of the Misty Range. It is Canada's highest paved pass. Your journey will begin at Kananaskis Outfitters, from there we will take you to the trailhead in one of our spacious vans. Sit back and enjoy the view, soon you will find yourself at 7250 feet above sea level where your hike begins. Your hike will take you to an elevation of 8000 feet where you will encounter unparalleled scenery, golden larch trees, crisp mountain air, and perhaps some bighorn sheep or pikas. This accessible 2-3 hour hike will guide you along a creek, waterfalls, and the diverse natural surroundings that the Kananaskis wild has to offer. Suitable for children 8 years and older. Please schedule 4.5 hours for this excursion. Prepare for a memorable journey!
